Why is the refund taking so long?Updated 2 months ago

We understand how important timely refunds are. Once your return is approved, Almond Muse processes refunds swiftly, but sometimes delays may occur beyond our control due to payment provider or bank processing.

This article explains why refunds may take longer than expected, how to check their status, and what steps to take if you haven’t received yours.

If your refund is still pending after 14 business days from when we received your return, please read on.



Possible reasons for refund delays

1. Bank processing times

  • Some banks, especially international or regional ones, may take longer to post refund transactions.

  • Weekends and public holidays can also delay processing.

2. Credit card billing cycle

  • Your refund may not appear as a credit until the end of your current billing period.

  • In some cases, it will show up as a reversal of the original charge rather than a new transaction.

3. PayPal delays

  • While most PayPal refunds are instant, some can take up to 48 hours depending on the funding source or account verification status.

4. Incorrect return information

  • If you returned an item without including your name or order number, this may delay processing.

  • Always include identifying info when shipping a return.

5. Failed return inspection

  • If the item doesn’t meet our return criteria (e.g. signs of wear or damage), we may be unable to issue a refund.

  • You will be contacted directly if this is the case.


How to check your refund status

Confirm that:

  • You received a Return Approved email from Almond Muse

  • The refund window (10–14 business days from return delivery) has passed

  • Your bank or PayPal account doesn’t already reflect the credit
